With decades of experience and numerous accolades, including leading the University of North Carolina to multiple national championships, Anson’s influence extends far beyond the field.
Juan Martinez sent me an absolutely extraordinary player that will eventually be playing for the United States or Mexico at the highest level. Her name is Sam Meza … she is incredibly creative, physically dominant, despite her small stature and the sort of player I would pay money to watch. I know the player development environment that Coach Martinez has and it was perfect to help Sam Meza get to her potential as a skillful, smart, dynamic player, and I appreciate these environments he creates for elite players."
